Menai Strait

If you look closely, you can see both bridges.  This was taken from the island side, so the mountains of Snowdonia are in the background.

A truly beautiful spot. If you select the image, you can see it as large as possible in your browser. The old bridge is the one on the left, and the new bridge is on the right.

Day 304 – sunset

sunset at ogmore beachJust before the sun dropped below the horizon of the sea.  A really cold hour on the beach, I needed more clothes, but the dogs loved it, they even went into the sea!

Day 215 – canal bridge

bridge over canalA beautiful day along the canal, the sunshine when it arrive, after burning through the clouds was stunning.

Day 48 – Rhondda Fach

Day 48 Rhondda FachRhondda Fach, from Llanwonno Mountain.

Road resurfacing led to a detour over the mountain tonight, so I took the opportunity for a quick shot down the valley in the evening sunshine (plus ash of course!) In front is Stanleytown, to the right Tylorstown (my destination for rehearsal) , with Pontygwaith disappearing around the corner.  Please correct me if I have my villages in the wrong place!!  You can see how much earlier the sun sets in the valley than on the mountain. Maybe on another day I’ll get a shot of the bandroom from up there.
