A hot dog after lots of running on the beach. The light was a lovely orange, I was hoping that it would bring out the colour of her fur.

Day 36 – Trehafod sunset
Trehafod sits just before Porth, the gateway to the Rhondda valleys, and I pass this way twice a week at this time, and with British summer time, I manage to be travelling this way just in time to catch this marvellous sight. The pits are now not closed, and this pit wheel survives as part of the Rhondda Heritage Park. Trehafod is also the village where my parent both come from, and my grandfather, who did may jobs throughout his life, also worked underground, and worked here (I believe, may have to check with my Dad), my maternal grandfather was also a miner, though I am unsure which of the many pits he worked at.
Follow the link to the Heritage Park for more information on the mining industry in South Wales.
